I have design a transistor level circuit for Fully Digital Reconfigurable Time-to-Digital Converter having vast area of applications e.g. Distance Measurements, Biomaterial Impedance measurement.The circuit was design using Virtuoso as my M.Tech thesis. It is able measure wide range of time from 129 us to 40 ps using a reference clock of 252 MHz. The coarse count is measure using a 11-bit counter and the fine count is measured using two steps to minimize the error. In first step fine count is measure using delay-line based TDC and in second step gated buffers are used to measure the fractional part of fine count. To make the TDC is I design a very unique fully digital pulse stretcher circuit and in contrast to all other present pulse stretcher circuits are uses analog circuits and consumes more power. The validation of the design is performed using spectre circuit simulator.
