About Blaine Butt

During my career I have had the opportunity to employ and develop my skills in a variety of settings. I have been involved with traditional and high performance self-managed shift teams in petro-chemical and processing plant environments. In this time I have taken lead roles in training, commissioning and start-up of new facilities. I have developed and implemented training programs, start-up guides, Operating and HSE procedures for laboratory, process, and DCS areas. I also have worked extensively with a variety of processes ranging from hydrogen production, distillation, extraction and oxidation units, hydrogen reaction and peroxide conversion, as well as utilities, electrical generation and heavy oil production through SAGD. I have operated and commissioned Delta V as well as Seimens PCS 7 control systems. As well, I have executed operational process changes and have been involved with permitting, production, mechanical and chemical engineering decisions.
