Moving into the broader sphere of operations management was a logical step for me, and built upon my pragmatic and structured approach to getting things done. The opportunity to run my first company came in 2001 when I was appointed to my first general management role - I loved it and flourished with the increasing demands of the role - and again with the move to Geelong in 2003 and the wider Group General Manager's role. Shoulder-tapped to move North and join APN saw my portfolio of responsibilities expand again with more staff and revenue along with broader group-wide accountabilities as well. Then as the newspaper industry faced increasingly difficult challenges I moved into a business transformation role and became responsible for driving a company-wide change program. In 2013 a chance conversation saw me complete my full real estate agents license and form my first solely owned Australian company, SONAR HQ Pty Ltd with it's two business units : • SONAR COMMERCIAL SERVICES a management consultancy • SONAR REALTY SERVICES a service provider to the real estate industry I am now immersed in the challenge of growing my own successful enterprise and loving every minute of it.
