Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes tuned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return” - Leonardo da Vinci My earliest memories as a child involve the countless hours spent at the observation deck at Perth International Airport, standing at the glass, mesmerized by watching large aeroplanes takeoff and land. From that moment on, flying, and being involved in aviation was all I ever wanted to do. Today, I consider myself extremely fortunate that my lifelong passion is now my career. My aviation career began in education, working my way up through the flight instructor ranks towards becoming a Class 1 Flight Instructor – the highest level in Canada. I was then afforded the incredible opportunity to serve as the Chief Flight Instructor and Director of Flight Operations for one of North America’s fastest growing training institutions, specializing in airline based training for foreign airline pilots. I played a pivotal role in strategically planning and overseeing multiple growth cycles within the organization, while managing multiple inter-provincial training bases, consisting of 100+ staff and 35+ aircraft. In my current role as the Director of Operations and Business Development at Air West Charters, I’m able to apply my 16+ years of aviation and management experience, and passion for flying to oversee the development and expansion of a new company within the exciting world of private aircraft charters. Away from work I enjoy travelling south in search of warmer weather, Australian sports, and spending time outside with my family.
