As an ambitious Computer Science undergraduate at San Diego State University (SDSU), I am deeply engaged in developing a machine learning model for predicting chromophore excitation energies under the guidance of the Mao lab. This project not only showcases my proficiency in Python, Pytorch, and data visualization but also underscores my commitment to applying computational methods to complex chemical processes. My academic foundation is complemented by practical skills in Java, C/C++, Haskell, Prolog, Matlab, and familiarity with tools like Github, Maven, and QChem, gained through a rigorous curriculum encompassing computer architecture, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and more. Previous experience at McDonald’s equipped me with essential soft skills such as communication and efficiency, vital for any fast-paced work environment. As I progress toward my B.S. in Computer Science, I am actively seeking a computer science internship to further immerse myself in the field, where I can contribute my analytical and technical skills while gaining invaluable industry experience.
