About Blaize Liebenberg

I am a software engineer with over 12 years of experience, of which 10 years have been focused specifically on e-commerce development. Projects I have primarily worked on have been around UX and UI improvements together with rebuilds and general maintenance of Magento stores and on occasion sometimes WooCommerce stores. During the course of my career, I have covered multiple programming languages and recently taken a keen interest in JavaScripts like ReactJS, Angular, and NodeJS.I have in the past assumed the role of lead FE developer and am currently Frontend Software Engineer. I pride myself on the quality and innovation of the work I produce and strive to always exceed my own expectations through learning new technologies or being able to adapt dated methodologies. To me, a job is more than the work you produce but includes the environment you working in and the people you work with, As a result, I am a big advocate for team collaboration and strive to take up a position in the team of social co-ordinators both at Silvertree and briefly at Blackswan. I have also achieved company awards in the past such as "Best Solution to a Problem" 3 years in a row at Fontera as well as Employee of the Year in 2015. I was also tasked with an e-Commerce Manager role at Silvertree to help manage and streamline work for 3 of the major e-commerce stores. At Rapiddeploy being part of the development team that is trying to build a cloud-based emergency response platform for the public safety sector was a real experience and I learned so much from the great company and great members.
