About Blake Andersen

I studied at the University of Nebraska Omaha, melding my passions for biology and psychology by pursuing a degree in Neuroscience & Behavior. I was originally heavily immersed in a pre-med trajectory, but got involved in my own undergraduate neuroscience research, ultimately deciding to pursue a Master's in Neuroscience & Behavior while furthering that research. As both an undergraduate and graduate student I was heavily involved in STEM organizations within the university. I was a member in a neuroscience education outreach, numerous STEM honor societies, independent and collaborative research projects, and was employed as graduate teaching assistant. I have been awarded several research grants based on the merit and importance of my research and was even selected to be the president of the University of Nebraska Omaha chapter of Nu Rho Psi, the national neuroscience honor society. My interests in neuroscience, biology, and psychology goes beyond just academia and research settings. I am also excited about medical & commercial applications within these fields, and am happy to explore new opportunities and unknowns. I am eager to join a team of people passionate about using their knowledge and gifts to help others and further pursue shared aspirations. I love to spend my free time woodworking, gaming, playing soccer, and hiking.
