About Blake Clay

A Jack of all trades. Born into the interior design industry since childbirth, Blake has worked for his parents flooring and furniture company from the age of 14 to still running errands occasionally for them today. Blake has found his calling in acting at a very young age and has worked in theater and commercial acting as a child up through college. Then went into film and tv acting at the age of 28-32, having made appearances on shows such as Shameless, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Utopia. At the age of 20 Blake started his photography career working as a touring photographer for the Suicide Girls Blackheart Burlesque troupe, after creative differences, Blake decided to go freelance and has since done photography for some porn actresses, as well as many bands. He found his calling in live music/concert photography, and still to this day will be taking photography at different concerts and venues. At the age of 17 Blake has become a touring musician playing guitar and singing as a solo artist under the name A Thornless Rose. Later changing his stage name to Cardboard Cutout, then O.M.ME, and now goes under the name The Braverman. Blake has also been involved in a few bands during his music career (Emergency 911 and Radio Boyfriend). At the age of 33 Blake has been a guest DJ for various events under the Burwood Media umbrella (Emo Night Brooklyn, Gimme Gimme Disco, Broadway Rave, Power of Love, etc.) and Emo Nite LA. Currently Blake is working 5 jobs as a sales clerk for a movie theater, a life guard at a community center, an air bnb host, a dog sitter, and a Bar Trivia host. Blake feels that with the skills he has acquired over the years, he’s qualified for almost any job he wants, but has yet to the perfect job that he can see himself retiring with. Blake’s ultimate goal is to become a touring concert photographer and film/tv actor, as those have been hobbies of his since he was a child and would love to turn those hobbies into careers.
