About Blake Gould

While working full time to fight education inequity with some of the top schools in the country, I built a weather machine. I also won a regional education startup contest, learned to code with Udacity, traveled to 47 states, and ran several half marathons. Integrity, curiosity, and pursuit of equity drive me. During my time as an undergrad I studied Criminal Justice and worked as a volunteer intern for the WSU Police Department. These experiences kindled a passion for social justice, leading me to pursue education as a high-impact field. For the last 10+ years I have worked a variety of roles in education ranging from a classroom mathematics teacher to a middle school athletic director, to a senior leader in education technology management. I had the opportunity to apply my combined experience in leadership, education, and technology product management at a Startup WeekendEDU event. My experience as the product manager leading that team to a first-place pitch at the end of the weekend was a highlight of my professional experience. I continue to seek ways to replicate the lessons and joys of that weekend into my daily work in ed tech.
