About Blake Hanson

I’ve spent my career building high-impact real estate projects that create value for owners, investors, and communities. Today, I lead $300M+ in active developments as Senior Vice President of Development at Wasatch, with projects spanning mixed-use redevelopment, self-storage, and multifamily housing. My experience runs deep—starting at 22, I developed projects for multiple ownership groups and my own capitalized ventures across the western U.S. Before Wasatch, I spent eight years leading ground-up telecom development for major carriers, delivering 300+ sites and managing complex permitting and construction processes. I later served as VP of Acquisitions for Storage Corner, where I scaled the platform from 4 to 25 facilities, overseeing site acquisition, entitlements, construction, and lease-up. I also own and operate multifamily assets, bringing an owner’s perspective to every deal. My expertise spans permitting, construction management, capital structuring, and large-scale development execution. I hold a Bachelor’s in Finance and a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) from the University of Utah, where I graduated top of my class and received multiple awards for real-world competitions and leadership in the industry.
