About Blake Lewis

Graduate of Purdue University Northwest with a degree in Environmental Health and Safety. Currently working as a Loss Control Consultant with American Family Insurance providing safety and risk management services for large commercial clients. Prior to earning my degree, I proudly served five years in U.S. Navy as a Construction Mechanic where I managed my battalion's crane operations maintenance and safety inspection programs. During my first internship with AMS Mechanical, I developed a new and more intuitive Lock-Out-Tag-Out program to ensure employee safety when operating and maintaining equipment. My most recent internship was with American Family Insurance where I revised and enhanced their Habitational Loss Control Manual to provide clients with a more comprehensive guide for implementing effective loss control measures. I am currently in the process of earning my Safety Professional Certification. Thereafter, I hope to further my education by earning my master’s degree in a field relating to safety and risk management.
