About Blake Newberg

Most of my professional career has taken place with John Deere. I have experience in Supply Management, Operations, and Material Flow.I am currently a Supply Management Specialist (Buyer, with a focus on Supplier Development) at John Deere Seeding, supporting 3 different Seeding divisions in Moline, IL, Paton, IA, and Valley City, ND. Focusing on supplier development, I get to work with the suppliers with the most opportunity for improvement. This position allows me to be both strategic and tactical in order to find the best methods to create success. I have previous experience in Material Flow as a Material Coordinator. In Material Flow I gained valuable experience and understanding of how parts move throughout their life cycle, from acquisition at a supplier to point of use on a production line. I was fortunate enough to be recognized as a leader while being a Material Coordinator, and also served as a fill in Team Leader, which led to my next role with John Deere.My final area of experience is in Operations as a Team Leader, in which I was responsible for, gave direction to, and provided supervision to a wage/production work force (supervising up to 57 people at one time). Diving into Operations was very beneficial for my career as it enabled my ability to adapt quickly and effectively within an ever changing environment. Throughout my career, I have developed an eye for detail and a great ability to prioritize due to the heavy demands of different assignments and ever changing aspects of each position I have held.
