About Blake Parsekian

My career started in Visual Merchandising. I loved storytelling through vignettes, inspiring people to visualize how products might look in their homes while promoting sales through strategic branding and product placements. A couple of years into my career, I was given the opportunity to join the e-commerce team. Since the world was and still is becoming increasingly digital, I thought I might as well jump on the train. I found that Digital CX is not dissimilar from Visual Merchandising. Both rely on collaboration across teams to bring the brand and business objectives to life. They also focus on the customer journey: What inspires them, and how can we encourage them to keep coming back? I thrive in this creative problem-solving space, creating a holistic brand image. I enjoy being able to test and iterate, utilizing data analysis and customer feedback to deliver the best customer experience. I get excited about cross-functional collaboration, creating a go-to-market strategy, product storytelling, and creating a seamless online shopping experience. A few of my favorite projects to date are:+ Launching Paint as a new product category on Schumacher.com; leveraged customer interviews to determine the shopping journey on custom landing pages and PDPs.+ Directing the implementation of Schumacher’s first Digital Asset Management (DAM). Partnered with stakeholders to develop a data structure for best search optimization, resulting in a company-wide library.+ Initiated a new cross-selling function on website product pages featuring hand-picked product pairings for the top 200 wallpapers; grew the program monthly with new product launches.
