About Blake Starkey

I am a professional consultant. I help high school athletes (and their parents) understand all the "stuff" they need to do if they aspire to play their sport in college, possibly on athletic scholarship, which could pay for some or all of their college costs. Just a very exciting idea! And I like to think I know a little about it because for over 20 years, I was a high level NCAA Division I Head Coach. I coached at two major universities (Maryland and Missouri) in three different Power 5 Conferences (the ACC, Big XII, and SEC). I have personally recruited and signed more high school athletes to full scholarships than I can count. Now, as a professional consultant, I have helped even MORE high school athletes and families secure collegiate opportunities. My program is called The "Your Athletic Scholarship Program”. Simply put, becoming a good athlete in high school is one thing. But understanding all the "stuff" you need to do to become a recruited college athlete is a completely different thing. I help by laying out a proven plan for select high school athletes (and their parents) and walk them through all the necessary steps. And I consult and work closely WITH them through each step. And there are three ways I do this: 1) Clients are given immediate access to a digital materials I personally created. These include a) my MANUAL: this is a crystal clear plan laying out proven specific steps, b) my STREAMING AUDIO: this allows you to listen to the manual, c) my "Coaching Interview Vault": I have interviewed college coaches about one topic - WHAT they look for and HOW they recruit for THEIR specific sports, d) my "SWIPE FILES": there IS always writing involved - so you don't have to start from scratch, I have "done for you" examples for you to work from allowing you to really streamline your approach. 2) PERSONAL ACCESS: I personally work with clients (via ZOOM) as they work their way through my program. so those I work with do have the opportunity to work directly WITH me. 3) Your ATHLETIC RECRUITING VIDEO: one of the most important parts of a successful athletic campaign is a quality video allowing college coaches to see you. This is a collaborative process, but I basically "do" your athletic recruiting video for you. I absolutely LOVE what I do and have helped tons of kids go after (and obtain!) collegiate playing opportunities nationwide!
