About Blake Thompson

I'm Blake Thompson, your Strategic Tax Manager at Marsh & Partners. When I'm not immersed in delivering key strategic advice for my clients and team, you'll find me dedicated to grinding board and card game tournaments. My journey started with a Bachelor of Business at QUT, majoring in Professional Accounting with a specialization in Company Law and Taxation. After graduating, I dived into the professional world at a local firm in Bowen Hills. Those early days were a trial by fire—facing clients, providing advice, owning up to mistakes, and celebrating successes. I quickly learned that every question deserves an answer, and usually a couple more questions. In my initial years at Marsh & Partners, I delved deep into the intricacies of the primary production industry. Armed with skills in Tax, Accounting, Financial Accounting, Financial Analysis, and Financial Reporting, I now bring that knowledge and experience to my role as a Strategic Tax Manager. My responsibilities include handling cash flow forecasts, budgets and projections, rulings and advice, and managing ATO audits.
