About Blake Thomson

Systems and People are the 2 forces that shape everything—especially in business. Growing up in a family nursing agency, I felt firsthand how contingent work kept our family thriving. My mother, working night shifts as an agency nurse, built loyalty and trust with people who’d follow her anywhere. My father, meanwhile, built systems that kept chaos under control. Somewhere between those two worlds, I found my purpose. I’m Blake Thomson—a lifelong gamer who worked in family owned recruitment agency who accidentally became an entrepreneur. Today, I’m Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Xeople, where we’re building technology to simplify work, humanise data, and empower the people behind the shifts that keep the world running. Alongside my business partner, Sachin Nischal—the tech genius who helps me turn wild ideas into reality—we’ve scaled our platforms to manage over $1 billion in payroll annually, support over internal users, and connect more than contingent workers across Australia. I take business seriously—but not life. The best ideas often come from moments of play, laughter, or a conversation over wine and cheese. Fair warning: I have a popcorn mind. One minute it’s workforce compliance, the next it’s video game mechanics. I’m obsessed with creating systems that actually work in the real world—because I’ve sat on both sides of the table, as a business owner struggling with legacy tools and as a founder building the technology to fix them. I believe in the X-Factor—that spark when the right person is in the perfect role at the perfect time. Whether I’m designing software, mentoring a founder, or lining up the perfect pass in basketball, I’m driven to build systems that don’t just manage people—but lift them up. Over the last decade, I went from designing EntireHR (now Entire OnHire) inside our family business, to launching Xeople, and co-founding Slaketech to help founder-led software businesses navigate chaos and scale.
