About Blake Williamson

My name is Blake Williamson and I am solicitor admitted to the Supreme Court in September 2022 who is currently working with Alder IP, as a commercial lawyer, where I have been developing core legal skills in Intellectual Property and Corporate law. I obtained a bachelor of arts - psychology with a bachelors of law at Macquarie University and completed my GDLP with leo cussen in the ACT where I obtained the necessary skills to kickstart my career in the legal profession. I am keenly interested in the intersection of Technology and law, Intellectual Property and Data and privacy and my key interests during my studies was seeing how the law continues to adapt to rapid developments in the constantly evolving tech-space. My Psychology studies have left me with a keen interest in Behavioural Psychology and a desire to find a way to apply psychology to assist solicitors with mental health and wellbeing. I come from a blue-collar background making me resilient, growth-driven and constructive to feedback. My casual work with Bunnings has left me with strong customer service skills that go beyond selling products, it includes providing real problem-solving solutions to people that meet their needs. Outside of work I enjoy online Gaming, listening to Heavy metal 🤘 and studying Japanese with the ultimate goal to one day becoming.
