Your Attitude Determines Your Direction I'm a firm believer in the above statement. The attitude that you go into your day/week/etc. with will determine the direction that it will go. I try to start every single day with the attitude that I will be better today than I was yesterday. I believe that the attitude you bring with you is contagious. If you can come to work with a good attitude, ready for anything your job may throw at you, whether it be pleasant or challenging, gives you the capability to accomplish that task. Mining can be a challenging job to maintain a good attitude day in and day out. Keeping safety as the number one priority in an endlessly changing environment; targets needing met, proper care and custody of equipment, maintenance and repair, proper communication with coworkers, and many more. With all of that known, from my first day on the job I have always told myself that I would be a better worker than I was yesterday, I will communicate better today, or I will be sure to fix one thing on any equipment I run that given day. Going into every day with the attitude of bettering myself, has allowed me to participate in projects alongside coworkers that I have been able to develop relationships with and learn from. You can always improve yourself in some little way or another, and I hope to continue to better myself little by little every day, no matter where my career may take me.Experienced Miner with a demonstrated history of working in the mining & metals industry.
