About Blayne Shipman

I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in International Relations and Global Studies with a minor in European Studies. In addition I have completed 21 hours of French and have experience living and studying abroad at Sciences Po à Paris. During my time at UT Austin I have held both lower and executive officer positions within my fraternity. I have also interned for Congressman Michael McCaul and worked in the private legal sector as an intern. In addition, my knowledge of government extends from local, federal, and international sectors. Through my experience as a legal and congressional intern, I have developed interpersonal communication skills, computer skills with Microsoft office and google drive. During my time abroad I gained valuable experience connecting with people of different cultures and languages, but more importantly I’ve learned to navigate the complicated social structures of foreign cultures. My end goal is to work in foreign policy or security sector with an interest in both traditional and human security.
