About Blaz Mateljic

I’m a strategic product leader with a strong commercial background and a hands-on mindset. With over ten years of experience across product, growth and data, I’ve led multi-product strategies, built and scaled teams, and delivered impact in complex, high-growth environments. Currently I lead the AI and machine learning strategy behind a large-scale advertising platform, guiding the shift from rule-based systems to learning-based optimization in bidding, ranking and pricing. I work closely with senior leadership to align product direction with company strategy and own roadmaps across multiple domains. I focus on creating the conditions for teams to do great work through clarity, direction and ownership, and combine structure with curiosity to keep improving how we build and operate. I’m comfortable owning product portfolios where business outcomes, platform performance and long-term value come together. My experience spans marketplaces, AdTech and fintech, and translates well into investment-driven or digital-first organizations where product plays a central role in growth. Outside of work I follow macroeconomics, global markets and the forces shaping long-term investment trends. I also enjoy sailing along the Croatian coast and spending time with my family
