26 years’ experience (twenty-two at international level) in supporting sustainable development cooperation, with a focus on gender equality, gender mainstreaming, and a rights-based approach. She has built up experience in policy advice, institutional capacity building, and organizational change processes, with a strong focus on gender equality. Blerina has supported gender mainstreaming into and through development cooperation actions in areas such as human rights and governance, education and health reform, social protection, trade, nutrition and food security, reform of the judiciary system, etc. Experience with organizational change, training on PCM and gender mainstreaming in it; experience with project evaluation as well as impact evaluation of training. Familiar with UN system and European institutions. Training designer, facilitator, and evaluator for face-to-face and on-line high-level training. Able to meet the challenges of a highly politically sensitive enviroment with professional judgement and team commitment. Fluent in Albanian, English, French, and Italian and knowledge of Spanish and Dutch.
