As a Senior Development Specialist at USAID, I lead the monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) functions for the Zimbabwe portfolio, covering the health, economic growth, governance, humanitarian, and local capacity development sectors with an annual budget of around $160 million. I have 20+ years of experience in leadership, management, and technical roles in humanitarian and development programs in Africa and Asia, working with diverse donors, partners, and stakeholders. My core competencies include collaborating, learning, and adapting (CLA), strategic planning, resource allocation, external representation, and environmental safeguards and compliance. I have extensive experience in conducting and managing evaluations, studies, and assessments in various sectors, using rigorous design and research methods. I am also an expert in food security and livelihoods, having implemented and advised on emergency and market-based responses in complex and fragile contexts. I am passionate about building the capacity of local teams and enhancing the impact and sustainability of development interventions.
