About Bm Purwanto

Bernardinus M. Purwanto is professor in Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM). He served FEB UGM as Vice Dean of Academic and Student Affairs (20013-2016), Vice Dean of Academic and Research (2009-2012), Director of Doctorate and Master of Science Program (2006-2007), and Chair of Department of Management (2001-2006), He led the successful FEB UGM’s AACSB International Accreditation process from 2009 to 2014 and the development of international academic program and collaboration. Since 20015, he was assigned by AACSB International as a mentor for business schools pursuing AACSB International Accreditation. Currently, he is also a member of Committee of Investment and Risk of PT TWC (a state owned company that manages and promotes heritage tourism destinations such as Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko in Central Java) and a member of Yayasan Slamet Riyadi (a foundation of Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta). Since 2017, he has been a resource person for Ministry of Research and Higher Education of Indonesia, specifically in the area of internal quality assurance system for higher education. His research interests mainly related to consumer behavior, social marketing, and corporate strategy. He conducts research and consultancy to several corporations such as PT Astra Honda Motor, PT Unilever Indonesia, PT Toyota Astra Motor, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (a port company), PT Pelabuhan Indonesia I (a port company), PT Angkasa Pura II (an airport company), Bank Indonesia, Indonesia Financial Service Authority, Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation, and PT Indosat Ooredoo. He was also a visiting lecturer in several universities such as Jonkoping International Business School (Sweden), Pforzheim University of Applied Science (Germany), and Osnabrueck University of Applied Science (Germany). His academic research articles were published in several international peer-reviewed journals.
