About Bo Dunn

Hello, my name is Bo! I'm originally from Georgia but have been fortunate enough to live in a few different states and experience different cultures. I grew up on a family farm and had the amazing ability to learn some valuable life lessons along the way. I graduated from Lamar County Highschool in 2013 and went on to pursue an associate degree in Homeland Security from Georgia Military College in 2015. During my time at GMC made the dean's list twice and in 2014 I was nominated and awarded the public speaking award by my peers. After graduating from GMC in 2015 I transferred to Columbus State University in Columbus Georgia to pursue a bachelor's degree in political science with a focus on International Relations. While at Columbus State I also founded the men's Collegiate Rugby Team which still exists today. During my junior year at Columbus state, I applied for a legislative internship at the Georgia State Capitol and after a series of interviews I was awarded the position and served as a legislative assistant for the Majority Leader in the Senate for the 2016 legislative session. Upon completion of my internship I returned to Columbus where I completed my degree. While at CSU I took 4 semesters of Arabic and 2 semesters of constitutional law. Upon graduation I moved to Nevada and then Alaska to pursue some personal goals and to take a break from school. While in Alaska I worked as a wilderness guide and was able to add to my professional resume by picking up my wilderness first responder certification and completing a wilderness international leadership school in rock climbing and mountaineering. Additionally, I picked up my Commercial Driver's License and all subsequent endorsements while working for the guiding company. I spent 4 years in Alaska and just recently moved back to Georgia to enjoy being closer to friends and family. I'm married and my wife and I have two Alaskan huskies, we enjoy doing everything outdoors. I'd say I work and feel the best when I'm outside and utilizing my physical abilities to accomplish tasks.
