About Bo Gembarsky

Currently I am a Library Public Service Associate (LPSA 1) in the Vancouver Public Library system, based at the Oakridge branch. I began this role in September 2024. Formerly I was an Assistant Supervisor in Visitor Services at the Vancouver Art Gallery. I had been with the Gallery from August 2017 to September 2024. Previously I had many years of experience with regional companies (the Winnipeg Free Press and Vancouver Sun, among others), national organizations (CBC Radio, TELUS) and international businesses (SportsInteraction.com) in communications, writing, reporting, SEO, brand development and management, and social platforms as an employee and contractor via my company, Bo10 Media. After graduating with a certificate in Entertainment Business Management from Vancouver Film School in 2010, I founded a production company called Big Eye Films. The first project was a feature-length crime drama entitled "Betrayed" which won the top prize in the Suspense/Thriller category at the WorldFest Houston film festival. My goals are to communicate messages as clearly and directly as possible, to help achieve creative objectives, and to improve my ability to tell stories.
