About Bo Sutton

Since I was a small tyke, I have loved spending time outside and enjoying what our forefathers have left us. It wasn't until working on a hunting property with my father one spring that I decided I wanted to devote my life to taking care of God's creation. In the past half-decade I have spent days working in fields, learning species' names, and operating equipment essential to any habitat manager. In the summer of 2017 I also worked with Grant Woods and the GrowingDeer.tv team as an intern in Branson, Missouri. Spending time with Dr. Woods and his team taught me so much about the wildlife that we strive to take care of and how to promote native habitats all over the country.As a student at Ouachita Baptist University, I strive to learn as much as possible every day and have proved this by earning at least a 3.5 GPA every semester even while managing a taxing course-load. Some tougher courses relevant to work I hope to do include Intro to Wildlife Conservation and Management, Ecology, Zoology, Botany, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. Along with being a student in college, I am also an athlete playing baseball. Playing sports during school has taught me so much during my time here including time management skills, teamwork, and leadership qualities. I also value service and helping others wherever I can. On campus, I have worked with the Elderserve program, which allows students to spend time with elderly people in the community, worked as a tutor, and been a YoungLife Leader for a short time, helping high school students focus on things that will be important further in life.Hopefully, through continued learning and experiencing the outdoors, I will be able to pursue a career in the wildlife management field after finishing my degree in Environmental Studies.
