About Bob Eskew

In October 2017, Robert A. Eskew, PT, MS, PCS co-founded Viribus VR Labs with long-time friends Brent Wheelbarger and Tony Matthews, PT, DPT, NCS to create therapeutic tools for people living with cerebral palsy and other disabilities using virtual reality. Viribus VR Labs successfully completed the OKC Thunder Launchpad created by StitchCrew and is a member of GAN (Global Accelerator Network). Viribus VR Labs has been endorsed by the OU Innovation Hub, Robert Palisano, PT, ScD, FAPTA, Cindy Miles, PT, Ph.D, PCS, Eileen Fowler, PT, Ph.D, and Vivian Pinn, M.D. He is the owner/president of Physical Rehabilitation Associates, PLLC. After completing his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Bob returned to OUHSC where he completed an Advanced Masters of Science degree in pediatric physical therapy. He is a board-certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist since 1993. He established a physical therapy clinic in downtown Oklahoma City after the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building, providing treatment to search and rescue teams, law enforcement, secret service and others involved in the rescue and recovery. He served on the Physical Therapy Advisory Committee to the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision twice as well as the DHS Citizens Advisory Panel-Disability. He has served on numerous boards of directors and various positions within the American Physical Therapy Association/Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association, including Chairman, Adults with Developmental Disabilities Special Interest Group, Section on Pediatrics, American Physical Therapy Association, and the APTA Task Force on Continuum of Care for Persons with Lifelong Disability. He has authored a book chapter: Adolescents and Adults with Developmental Disabilities Across the Lifespan. In Neurological Rehabilitation, Umphred DA ed. and a screenplay entitled;"CRIPS". Bob also has cerebral palsy.
