About Bob Gershen

Bob Gershen has been a prominent figure in the energy and finance industries for 40 years, working with over 40 startups and early-stage companies in executive management, board leadership, advisory, and investment roles. Until 2015, his primary focus was on conventional oil and gas, where he managed multiple private equity funds from inception to final investor distributions in 2004. He then spent 12 years as President and CEO of Longview Energy Company, a private micro-cap energy firm, where he set strategic direction, built and led a high-performing management team, executed the company’s business plan, and ultimately oversaw the successful sale of its assets in 2015. Since 2015, Mr. Gershen has served as Manager of Forge Ventures, a consulting and investment firm specializing in clean technology startups. Through Forge Ventures, he actively advises and invests in seven early-stage clean tech companies, including Freewire Technologies, Kevala Analytics, Lastwall Networks, Signol, e-Mission Control, Hydrogen Technologies, and Carter Wind Turbines. Over the past year, he has played a key role in restructuring and recapitalizing Hydrogen Technologies, helping to develop a strategic plan and assemble a leadership team to drive the company’s future growth.
