After some exciting years at Philips and Punch Powertrain I now joined Absolem Engineering in Turnhout to organize the purchasing department, supporting the realization of specific prototype equipment and repeats. We are located at the former Philips Lighting site in Turnhout, now called Signify who acquired the Lighting activities of Philips. We have our own state of the art laserlab (biggest independant in Europe), measuring devices with capacity for laserapplication process surveys, making product samples (also production), building prototype modules and equipment. Our broad experience in lasertechnology will help you find a solution for your problem with innovative laser technology. During my career at Philips and Punch Powertrain I had the chance to gain lots of experience concerning various procurement skills in different fields. Among them: special machines for automotive parts manufacturing, engineering, realization and commissioning of specific machines, make parts, buy parts in industrial leverage, but also product development for semiconductor, consumer lifestyle, medical. From the start of the nineties I was involved in outsourcing several activities on a global scale. Before my time at Punch Powertrain, where I supported the production department, purchasing several production lines for automotive parts, I was assigned at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven as Procurement Engineering Manager for PInS, active for Philips internally but also externally in several innovative projects in the field of product development (E + M), industrial consulting, equipment creation, industrialization, and many more (Lighting, Medical, Consumer Lifestyle, Semiconductor (ASML, Zeiss, etc.)). One of my major skills is to structure procurement- and surrounding processes. I have very good notion of project management requirements. Balcony view, responsibility, reliability, communication are key in my daily performance. Other procurement specialisms: DfX (design fro excellence), procurement processes like BEST (structuring procurement organizations), Total Cost of Ownership, Make/Buy, Fit for use, contracting, process gatekeeping, supplier selection, supply base optimization and management), auditting, negotiation skills, calculating projects, etc.
