About Bob Hiss

My mission at Accenture is “To codify and commercialize Accenture’s industry and functional knowledge.” For our clients / customers, my team puts Accenture’s know-how literally into code that clients buy and use for their business long after our implementation teams have gone home. For other clients, they want to turn some cool code they built into a product but they live inside a company doing something else. I help them figure out if they can create and run a software business inside their company, like the software business I run inside Accenture. I’ve been a software product guy my entire career at Andersen Consulting, two software startups and now back at Accenture. Worked as a Developer, Product Manager, Engineering Leader, Professional Services, Pre-Sales and CEO. Bought companies and sold them. And lately, I’ve been building a software product business inside a services company (Accenture), which is a neat trick. I’m a husband, father, brother and son. I volunteer as an elected official in my little New England town (Milton Town Moderator) and chair of my church Vestry (St. Michael’s Episcopal Church of Milton). I’ve been a soccer coach and scout leader.
