About Bob Jacobs

With over 20 years of experience in communications and public outreach, I am proud to serve as the Program Manager, Digital and Technology Division at NASA, where I oversee the development and implementation of cutting-edge digital solutions to enhance the agency's online presence and engagement. I hold a master's degree in Strategic Communications and Leadership from Seton Hall University, demonstrating my commitment to advancing the field and leading with excellence. Throughout my career at NASA, I have spearheaded numerous initiatives that showcase the agency's profound legacy of exploration and discovery, as well as its inspiring vision for the future. I have pioneered NASA's foray into social media, directed the transition of NASA TV to high-definition broadcasting, and established the first 4K channel in North America. I have also collaborated with film and documentary projects, such as "First Man,""Hidden Figures," and "The Martian," to bring NASA's stories to life and reach wider audiences. My work has earned me two national Emmy awards and the title of Fellow within the prestigious Explorers Club. My passion lies in not only preserving NASA's rich history, but also in igniting the curiosity of the next generation of explorers.
