My name is Bob Jensen and I am a student in the Doctor of Audiology program at the University of Utah. As a student in this program I am learning how to measure hearing function, identify hearing disorders, develop patient aural rehabilitation, and fit and dispense hearing aids. I am also practicing these skills as a student clinician at the University of Utah Speech and Hearing Clinic.I am currently working in the speech and hearing department of the Salt Lake City School District. My duties have included; the assessment and adjustment of hearing aids for students in the district, ensuring classroom accommodations are made for students with hearing impairment, and the setting up/maintenance of class room fm systems.Prior to my acceptance into the audiology program at the University of Utah I have worked with adults with disabilities, particularly mental disabilities. This has required me to develop good problem solving skills, patients, and compassion for people.
