As a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registered with ECSA, I bring over a decade of experience in civil engineering, transportation planning, and data analytics. I hold a BEng in Civil Engineering and a BEng Honours in Transportation and Highway Engineering from the University of Pretoria, along with an MBA from the University of the People. My passion for leveraging technology to optimize transportation systems has driven my career, with a strong focus on data collection, traffic counts, and traffic monitoring. I have led high-impact projects across Southern and Central Africa, specializing in traffic data collection and monitoring using AI-powered tools. My expertise extends to managing traffic engineering and transportation planning projects, where I have collaborated with national road authorities, municipalities, and international organizations such as the World Bank. I have also played a critical role in integrated public transport networks (IPTN) and BRT system implementations in South Africa. Currently, I am the Lead Transport Engineer and Managing Director at Transdata Consult, where I oversee traffic data collection, transport planning, and AI-driven traffic management solutions through our product, Visor Data.
