About Bob Leydon

Leydon Letting Agents and Leydon Lettings are both owned by Bob Leydon. Both are located in Canterbury Kent UK. Letting accommodation mainly to students from CCU, UKC, UCA also renting professional accommodation provided by our Canterbury landlord clients. Leydon Lettings provides property management services to landlords with properties to let. In 1987 - before Buy-To-Let (BTL) was fashionable or objectionable, I let my first house to students becoming a private student landlord. Formerly a student living in a rented room, my own vision focused on excellence. Letting phenomenal student houses soon became more than a day job - more a way of life. Continuing to look after our tenants I subsequently also founded what is widely recognised as a phenomenal student lettings agency. Leydon Letting Agents also let to professionals, but in Canterbury's university city we specialise in student accommodation. In addition to the normal requirements our student houses feature numerous en suites, double beds, double kitchens, bills package, backup showers, and lots of safety features. As a committed Christian, property management means applying ethical principles. Do for others what I wish had been done for me when I was a student. Now over 65 I am often asked when I will retire? I reply,"why would I want to retire from what my team and I love doing!" I love anything to do with property - renovating, renting, running a letting agency, property management, engaging with students, landlords and residents. I like politics - basically doing what appears to need doing and encouraging others to join in. I adore family, people, music and listening to classics. I love the most beautiful people- the unlovely - those whom few seem to notice or chose to ignore - the marginalized and friendless. After 31 years I still love working with students.
