About Bob Milan
Robert L. Milan, Sr. has been a pillar in the Kansas City, KS community for over 60 years. During his tenure as Secretary of the KCKs Wyandotte County Port Authority 1984-86, he was instrumental in securing the movement of General Motors to the Northeast Fairfax District. Later Mr. Milan served 33 years with the Department of Labor and retired as a Federal Representative. In 1991 he went on to be elected to the Board of Public Utilities where he has served consequetively for the past 24 years. On May13, 2015 Mr. Milan was elected President of the Board of Public Utilities for the term 2015 - 2016. The BPU named a pumpstation "the Robert L.Milan, Sr Pump Station" in his honor in 2007. The pump station is located at 3300 North 63rd Street, KCK. Mr. Milan was also named to the national Who's Who Registry in 2010.
