About Bob Shields

I live at the unique intersection of education, creativity and wellbeing, relational justice and community building. My interdisciplinary background allows me to walk my talk with individuals and groups in higher ed, communities, and corporations. I have implemented and led a multi-departmental/Indigenous community cultural engagement and exchange model with broad potential. E.g, I don’t simply research creativity, wellbeing, and community building; I live, practice and teach them. I imagine a world in which creativity and wellbeing are not reduced but locally determined. I can help you elevate your creative capacity towards personal, societal, vocational and educational wellbeing and relational justice, whereby we: • live in mutuality, balance, peace and contentment • elevate marginalized voices • elevate self-determined creative meanings and values • live fully through our senses and body • Increase creative agency • are open, present and attentive and less closed, distant and distracted • are process focused & replace expectations with possibilities • are compassionate and less indifferent to self, others and the natural world • are aware, poised and mindful • are trusting and accepting of self and others and less repudiating and critical • are patient • are imaginative, transformative • act in the spirirt of social justice
