As a seasoned restaurant owner/operator and executive, I am an expert in all facets of restaurant and retail operations, to include site selection, architecture, engineering, construction, organizational development, branding, design, sales, operations, finance, and launching a new brand in a major market. My passion for developing people began soon after college while managing a McDonald’s restaurant. At that time I saw a need to leverage training as a means to operational excellence. After some operations positions, I became the first Regional Training Manager in the Philadelphia region, and later was Director of Worldwide Training for McDonald’s Corp in Oak Brook, IL. Following a stint in Operations in the DC region, I cashed my corporate chips in to become a multi-unit Owner/Operator in the Philadelphia Region. In 2004 I became the Chief Operating Officer of the company that developed a new brand, Five Guys Burgers & Fries, building and operating 29 locations from 2005 to 2013. In the restaurant and retail business, things move fast and mistakes caused by trial and error are very difficult to overcome; don’t let that happen to you.
