About Bob Taylor
Bob has taught music is public schools for 32 years, private Christian school for 11 years, and taught part-time at several colleges. He has played Principal Trumpet in the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra, in brass quintets, pit orchestras, back-up bands for various artists, and as a soloist at weddings, concerts and various other venues. He is currently semi-retired, serving on the faculty of Trine University, and substitute teaching in area public and charter schools. He performs on trumpets in B-flat, C, D, E-flat, piccolo trumpet in B-flat and A, flugelhorn, and natural (Baroque) trumpet in C&D (both in modern and Baroque pitch constructs). He currently plays with the Hillsdale Wind Symphony, and the Refiner's Fire Brass Quintet and joyfully teaches music to his grandchildren. In addition, Bob directs the choir at his church, leads music in worship on occasion, and plays and/or sings special music at the church where he serves as an Elder. He assists our college pastor in Bible study gatherings at Hillsdale College.
