About Bob Turner

One of Australia’s most recognisable and respected sports personalities. Best known for his basketball coaching and administration, Bob is renowned throughout many sporting organisations for his marketing and management ability. His work with NBL teams the Canberra Cannons, Sydney Kings and Singapore Slingers in developing business strategy, marketing and sponsorship programs set the standard for the league both domestically and internationally. Bob’s media profile and access to decision makers in the sporting, political and business arenas, combined with his credibility and work ethic, has produced an individual with proven ability to tackle a challenge. During his distinguished career Bob has applied his skills to a variety of sports and recently has completed projects with Basketball, Baseball, Gymnastics and Lawn Bowls. He was honoured by the NBL in as a Hall of Fame inductee. His personal success as a basketballer, coach, marketer and businessman combine to make him an authority and excellent speaker on a variety of issues including team building, motivation, success and leadership. In 2015 he was named the inaugural Chairman of Sportsyear, an emerging Australian owned company. He is also Chairman of the Sydney Blue Sox and Chief Adviser to NSW Baseball.
