About Bobby Johnson

As Chief Distribution Officer, I lead the distribution strategy for Midland National’s life division, which includes both the independent agent and broker/dealer channels. I love sharing Midland National’s story and the unique opportunity we provide for agents, and the clients they work to protect. In my 25-year career, I have been privileged to experience the full spectrum of this industry—first as a general agent working directly with clients, then as Regional Sales Director (RSD) for the North Texas region. For 14 years, I enjoyed partnering with agents in my home state of Texas to identify new sales opportunities, serve as sounding board for ideas, and bring new agents onboard. Selling life insurance and working 1:1 with agents helped shape the lens through which I work and weigh decisions—I know firsthand the impact they have.
