Manage the timely and cost efficient movement of trailers from hub to hub, hub to satellite, network-wide, purchased transportation, as well as the day-to-day operations. Responsible for the dispatch of transportation equipment in accordance with the Linehaul plan. Adhere to Linehaul schedules and plans in an effort to maximize capacity, minimize partial trailer loads and ensure service integrity for assigned areas. Follows and communicates safety initiatives to ensure a safety-conscious culture. Coordinate with the Safety and Maintenance departments to monitor the monthly tractor safety inspections and ensure annual certificates are obtained in compliance with the DOT. Verifies the load/unload status of trailers by completing yard checks. Investigates and reports schedule delays, accidents and equipment failures and implements contingency plans which ensure on-time load delivery in the event of an en-route breakdown or accident. Held monthly Business Discussions with Contractors. Coordinates cargo shipments to maximize the trailer volume while meeting package delivery obligations. Analyzes productivity and cost impacts of daily operations and implements changes as needed. Responsible for accident reporting, investigation, contact with Regional Safety Manager, drug testing, and recovery. CPC Provides internal and external customer service and issue resolution within defined timeframes and according to quality standards and expectations. Establishes new and updates existing FedEx Ground scheduled pickups, which requires communication and coordination with sales, customers, Independent Contractor (IC)/Independent Service Provider (ISP) business contacts and station. Reinforces and reiterates changes to CPC processes with IC/ISP and station management while working on daily pickup activity. Visits assigned station(s) to establish and build professional relationships and review opportunities to improve the customer and pickup experience.
