About Bobby Melton
I am retired Records Clerk from the Camden, Tennessee Police Department where I was employed for 38 years (May 1983-June 2020). During that time I also worked as a Part-time Reporter and Play by Play Announcer for WRJB and WFWL Radio Stations in Camden, Tn. For local sports broadcasts. I continue to do that at this time. I also write articles and feature stories for the Camden Chronicle Newspaper. I'd like to work part-time with volunteer agencies and special events. I am an Inductee of the Benton County, Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. I am on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame. I have volunteered in the past with organizations such as Red Cross; United Way; and American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. I am currently a member of the Camden Lions Club. In March 2022 I received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Benton County/Camden Chamber of Commerce.
