Currently deployed in North Carolina as Public Affair Officer of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Hurricane Helene Response Mission. Serves as Strategic Outreach Officer for the $34-billion WRDA-funded Coastal Texas Project (CTX) and $4-billion Sabine Pass to Galveston (S2G) Civil Works Program. Oversees development of Galveston District's Mega Projects Division (MPD) communication planning, promoting outreach and coordination between USACE and external stakeholders, including other governmental and non-governmental organizations. Makes initial contact, outreach and maintains ongoing communication with stakeholders at all levels, including elected official representatives, government agencies, contractors, citizen groups, property owners and media representatives for the Mega Projects Division. Previously served as the Chief Memphis District Public Affairs Officer and official spokesperson for the US Army Corps of Engineers Civil Works program in six states. Developed, implemented and supervised the public affairs program for the Memphis District, including devising and carrying out a fully developed strategic communications plan to inform the general public of District programs, prevent misconceptions on new and complex projects, and to avoid or remedy public affairs challenges. As a supervisor, executed the full range of administrative personnel management responsibilities. Planned and assigned work to subordinates; determined work schedules and priorities.
