I am an experienced IT Project Manager having executed projects in multiple industries and on four continents. I have passion for technology and safe computing! I have many stories to tell, but many more to still create. Here are some highlights. Career Pivots I remember when I decided to enter the Construction industry, a "boring IT guy" venturing into the territory of tradespeople: green-fields and brown-fields. I have been a part of building facilities in Peru, Dominican Republic, Australia, Kazakhstan and Canada. I learned my value and lost my fear of the unknown. I learned that "I must remain true to who I am, and be brave to do scary things". Growing into Cybersecurity Continued learning is one of my core principles, especially when I love the topics. I have learned that great things do not come quickly or easily. I completed a York University cybersecurity fundamentals certificate in September 2021, a Mount Royal University Technical Writing certificate in October 2021, and EDGE UP (Energy to Digital Growth Education and Upskilling Program) Cybersecurity with SAIT. I am not stopping here, looking forward to Security+ and CISSP certifications next. Reaching Higher My brand includes two valuable qualities, strategic thinking and elevating people. If you consider my LinkedIn background, the Canadian Rockies, you may understand how my value/actions relate to climbing a summit. Mountains are metaphors for challenges that businesses have, but having strategy and acting on achievable, high value tactics we can reach the summit.
