About Bobby Pragada

I am a recent graduate of Stanford University with a BAH in English Literature with a focus in Creative Writing. My goal is to consume as many books and as much information as I can, and assist in sharing stories and personal experiences with people from all avenues of life! Reading is fundamental to understanding the world around us; the more we read and the more we listen, the more human perspectives we come to appreciate. I believe that by thinking and working together, people can gain more complete ideas of inventive, enjoyable ways to live.In my time at Stanford, I've sung in Stanford Raagapella, a South-Asian a cappella group that sings songs in over 10 different languages. I've acted in modernizations of ancient greek theater through Stanford Classics in Theater. I've revitalized the Video Gaming community on campus by reviving the Stanford Video Game Association and providing a place for Stanford students to connect with similarly interested people. And I've been writing about Sports for the Stanford Daily, the student-run newspaper for two years. All of these experiences have inspired me to explore the world around me.In my studies, I am attempting to become the best writer that I can be. Combining a strength for analyzing written and spoken information with the ability to re-transmit that information in an accessible manner allows for a clear flow of information to anyone interested in learning more. Through classes like Literature and Philosophy, Writing and Rhetoric, and Comparative Literature, I have practiced these skills that I wish to hone further. I have also focused on improving my ability in the professional world, practicing management and public speaking/customer service skills in a variety of internships and jobs, in corporate offices and in movie theaters. I am always seeking to learn more and improve myself in any way possible.My favorite books are "Inherent Vice" by Thomas Pynchon and "The World According to Garp" by John Irving.
