About Bobby Redden

I have been reviewing my career, surprised that I have 30+ years as a manger, in one form or another. That only includes my career in the steel business. Beginning later in 1983 as a utitilies maintenance supervisor, 7 person team. Then as a maintenance supervisor, over 6 man mutlicraft team directly supporting production. A step up to mechanical general supervisor, working with four shift supervisors and 24 multicraft crew members. This was during a period I stepped up and took on a new roles as the single I/T analyst for my location. I handle both roles for a couple if years and finally made the career change to entirely I/T analyst, during these early years I decided more training was necessary for me, I need chemical background to provide support for water treatment system, those classes lead me to more training in the I/T field, I completed an AS in Computer Science in order to meet the needs of the role. During an ownership change I was asked to meet the challenge of managing the southwest regional team for several locations, with this challenge being met I was the promoted to Sr. Manager position overseeing all of the my field support teams in the US and Canada, with five regional supervisor, directing a total head count of 50 I/T technical analyst, sitting in 22 locations, supporting a total of +\- 140 production locations. Big job that I enjoyed. Helping users and the business grow has been a rewarding experience. I still have much to contribute and I'm looking for opportunities to once again rise to the challenge and be a contributor to a team.
