About Bobby Soto

What's up! I'm Bobby Soto, a Video Producer and Voice Actor from Chicago! I have a wide array of skills ranging from news writing, video editing, and voice over. I studied film and animation at DePaul University, where I learned what it takes to produce films and animated shorts from start to finish. After college I took on a contributor role with the gaming news website Nintendo Wire, where I wrote opinion/analysis pieces, blurbs, and other news stories related to Nintendo. I loved working with my team, and it was during my time here that I had the opportunity to fulfill a childhood dream of attending E3; as press, no less. I eventually found my way to working at the Niles Public Library, where I used my computer skills to assist patrons with their digital needs. It was here where I developed an appreciation for the public services that libraries provide to their communities, and grew as an instructor by leading public workshops in animation, video production, and PC building to name a few. I was quickly promoted to an IT assistant where I used my ability to troubleshoot and problem solve to assist both patrons and staff alike with their technical needs. I was also able to use my video production and animation skills to produce a few marketing videos for events that the library hosted. I currently work as a Jr. Video Producer at LeadingRE, where I started as a Video Editor. I’m responsible for producing eLearning courses for our in-house education platform, Institute - as well as our video newsletter, and event/program promo videos.
