About Bode Hoover

I’m a Ph.D. candidate in Environmental Science with 5+ years of experience using data to solve complex environmental and societal challenges. My background bridges machine learning, statistical modeling, and field-based research, with a strong focus on making large and messy datasets useful for decision-making. I’ve led and collaborated on multi-institutional research projects involving atmospheric chemistry, air quality, and environmental health, often applying tools like Python, R, XGBoost, CNNs, and PMF to identify trends, assess risk, and inform policy or operational strategy. I bring a practical, results-driven approach to every project—whether it's building predictive models, leading field campaigns, or translating findings into actionable insights. Skilled in project management, stakeholder communication, and technical reporting, I’m passionate about using science and data to drive meaningful outcomes in health, sustainability, and beyond. I’m currently exploring roles in data science, environmental consulting, and research where I can make a measurable impact.
