About Bolanle Ambonisye

Hello, I'm Bolanle Ambonisye, the Director of U&I-RISE adult education and training company. We are focused on addressing and resolving key issues faced by Black Americans in educational, professional, and community settings. What We Do at U&I-RISE- In Schools: We skyrocket Black student success by equipping adult stakeholders - administration, parents and teachers - to work together to create the environment Black students need to thrive- In Workplaces: We strengthen work ethic and reduce interpersonal conflicts, streamlining productivity and improving the overall work environment- In Communities: We focus on parenting education to rebuild community cohesion, emphasizing the strengthening of both intra- and inter-family relationships to create a unified and supportive community fabric. My Journey:As a certified African-centered Education instructor and a devoted student of relationships, I am known as “Mama” in the St. Louis, Missouri community and within the Council of Independent Black Institutions (CIBI). My journey in education spans began in 1992, with a significant focus on adult and child education in majority Black spaces. This includes over a decade as a full-time African-Centered Educator.I began my career teaching preK-2nd grades for 11 years. However, a profound realization struck me:"What's wrong with children is adults." This insight shifted my focus to parent education and staff training. The Birth of U&I-RISE Curricula:Drawing from my 30+ years in Education and Parenting to four wonderful people who raised me very well - LOL! I crafted the U&I-RISE curricula. It's an amalgamation of practical insights, effective strategies, and immediately-implementable tools tailored for our targeted communities.Beyond Education:My passion isn't confined to education alone. I am also an enthusiastic practitioner and teacher of African dance, an art form that I deeply cherish and enjoy sharing with others.Join me in this journey at U&I-RISE as we work towards creating productive parents, successful students, effective and ethical employees, and conscientious citizens.
