About Borg Quek

From a young age, I always had a strong passion for aviation. This passion of mine first saw light when I attended many airshows and Air-Force open house at a young age. Through these events, I was able to experience the aviation industry and so I set course towards a job in the industry. After secondary school, I pursued my passion through Temasek Polytechnic, Aviation Management and Services where I was able to learn from industry professionals and was given the opportunity to work in the field as a flight coordinator. I also volunteered my time to promote aviation in a charity event for disadvantaged children. After graduating from polytechnic, I made use of my spare time prior to National Service (NS) and university to complete my Private Pilot License (PPL) at Seletar Flying Club where I learnt to safely operate a Cessna 172N. During my training, I was able to meet and learn from various industry professionals. After serving my NS obligation, I continued pursuing this passion of mine through Singapore Airlines as a Cadet Pilot. I love working in teams and often found myself naturally gravitating towards the role of a team leader during secondary school and polytechnic. I was able to further develop my leadership skills during my NS obligation as a detachment commander.
